Seriously? Truth Social is worth THAT much?

Colour me shocked.
How long before regulators find something wrong with the deal?
Do you ask that because you have fallen under the impression that Trump is ALWAYS the victim and everyone is ALWAYS out to get him because HE is the ONLY one who can rescue America?

Sounds like SEC is fine with it. So that's good right?

There's already stuff wrong with the deal. There's been stuff.

However, this is good news for those who he owes millions. Maybe they'll get paid.

Oh, the EpochTimes...not known for accuracy.

Is selling it for much more than it's worth a way for well-heeled supporters to get him out of a jam? And what kind of horrible concessions will he have to guarantee to get them to do so?

Are they going to buy Truth Social--or buy DJT? (I think I know the answer.)

Unless I misunderstood, Truth Social was valuated at about 10billion (wwwwwwhhhhhaaaa????) and Trump's portion was just over 3 bil.

Curious to see how this plays out.

Which outlets do you find to be more reputable than EpochTimes? CNN perhaps?
The shorter list would be for outlets more disreputable.

The site has 500,000 subscribers, never made a profit, and has revenues of only a few million.
If Trump tried to cash in his shares, the price would plummet to nothing.
My concern is who is so interested in enriching him with this basically worthless stock.
Russian oligarchs? Arab oil barons? Ruthless dictators worldwide? International agents of chaos?
It's worrying.

Yeah. It never made sense to me to value it so high but I don't know finance well.

This is where my concerns are, as well. Though, to be fair, from what I've read there was a donor of Trump's that was expected to invest millions, maybe even a billion or two, into Trump media, not foreign sources, but it still raises the question if this is more of a campaign donation than a legitimate attempt to invest in the company.

I will point out that they have been several tech companies that have high stock prices compared to their earnings, or even where they are consistently losing money. Amazon is a great example of that, people invested heavily in Amazon despite it taking them about a decade to earn an annual profit. But, in the case of Trump media, almost all of the value seems to be wrapped up in Trump and if Trump merely leaves the platform, such as switching back to Twitter, the value allegedly would tank.
