Trump et al decided to just not pay the last $35,000 on a $200,000 paint contract, so the paint vendor sued. A court just found that not only does Trump have to pay the money, but also another $250,000 in legal fees.

While developer Donald Trump was busy getting the Republican Party’s presidential nomination this week, he was losing big in a Miami-Dade County courtroom.

Circuit Court Judge Jorge Cueto, presiding over a lawsuit related to unpaid bills brought by a local paint store against the Trump National Doral Miami golf resort, ordered the billionaire politician’s company to pay the Doral-based mom-and-pop shop nearly $300,000 in attorney’s fees.

All because, according to the lawsuit, Trump allegedly tried to stiff The Paint Spot on its last payment of $34,863 on a $200,000 contract for paint used in the renovation of the home of golf’s famed Blue Monster two years ago.

Trump National’s insistence that it had “paid enough” for the paint despite a contract, according to the lawsuit, caused The Paint Spot to slap a lien on the property and Cueto to order the foreclosure sale of the resort.

I would think the DNC, who wants to help the poor Mexican migrant workers, might be in favor of Mexico building the wall. Why not?
Because the idea is just stupid.

Its never stupid to create jobs. The only question is, can it also help protect America? Maybe, maybe not, but it will create Jobs.

So will investing in crumbling infrastructure that will actually produce a return on investment...you know, bridges, highways, ports of entry, our national parks, etc

Sure, no doubt. The wall may just prove to have a return on investment as well.

You mention ports of entry.

Because it has no multiplier effect. Improving infrastructure has the immediate impact of the new jobs constructing the infrastructure. But then the improved roads/rail/power networks make business easier and faster and improves the economy on the back end.

A useless wall in the middle of nowhere has no such multiplier.

Fine. Have them plant trees alng the boarder. That would be less stupid than building a wall.

It would also be less jobs as well. How do we know that the wall will not serve a good purpose one day? I mean what if the zombie apocalypse breaks out? Surely the wall might be helpful then. Did you ever see WorldwarZ with brad pit? Man, I hope we never find ourselves in that situation.

How? There's concrete evidence that improved road/rail distribution makes shipping easier and cheaper, which creates a significant ROI. There's evidence that improving ports to handle more shipping facilitates trade and again cuts costs for businesses and consumers. What is your postulated argument for a wall in the middle of nowhere that would be impossible to patrol and easy to evade?

We do know that trees will serve a good purpose. So the wall is still the stupid idea.

Yes but those things help Americans, I was referring to helping the poor Mexican migrant workers who might end up building the wall. Not to mention, in a zombie apocalypse bridges are a bad thing but walls are good.

If you are into believing fiction, then you should believe in Star Trek. They fixed everything on that show.
