God bless you Jon Meis. And all students who helped subdue this terrorist gunman before he could tally more dead. After the hero got the shotgun away from this man the man pulled out a knife. Backup weapons are apparently a given with terrorists. Something to keep in mind.

And pepper spray is certainly something to carry. Just in case. Personal security or for events like this. God bless the courageous who put their lives on the line to save others.
Jon Meis was engaged at the time he took this terrorist down.

Doesn't appear so. The Orlando muslim terrorist was on and then taken off a watch list. He was investigated once or twice , depending on the sources reporting. And he was interviewed three times. And when he wasn't flagged as a suspect he was legally able to buy guns and even hold a job where he was armed.

Keep in mind, two terrorists originated from this particular mosque. Mateen being but one of them.

Hillary hopes you'll forget her culpability along with Obama in scrubbing homeland security and FBI files that pertained to muslim terrorism, terrorists, and that she even shut down the program that put suspect radical mosques on a watch list.

Now she's running for highest office so she goes this route. Again, hoping amnesia is fully in place as to her vacating security measures for the homeland when they concerned muslim terror suspects.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton criticized Republicans for rejecting a Democratic amendment that would have “block[ed] suspected terrorists from buying guns who are on the no-fly list.” But she misrepresented the measure, which would have applied to a much broader group than the no-fly list.

I think the terrorist in Orlando is getting the publicity he knew he would posthumously. All it does is inspire copycats and inspire others like him.
In this case, this is a great story. That's incredibly brave to bring pepper spray to subdue a psycho with a shotgun. And a knife!
The lives saved will never be known thanks to this hero. Bravo to Jon Meis. Well done sir! This story isn't too old to remind us of what it looks like to dare to combat a nut on a rampage.
