While 'Poe' has been used as a noun for some years, its use as an adjective, and now even a verb, is a more recent development, and one which is being advocated in this thread. Use of 'to Poe' as a verb fills a gap in the English language - there is not currently a word which has quite the same meaning; hoaxing, or misrepresenting, or satirising could all apply, but don't quite capture the specific meaning of 'to Poe'.

Further, the phrase 'you Poeing us bro?' also touches on a caricatured version of youth culture, and of internet memes, so contains a degree of topical comedic value.
