I just spoke with one of the translators from our parish (O-usa's godfather) about a month ago and he said that Fr. Jack's health had caused some delays and that it was looking like another 18-24 months.

Yeah, it really bummed me out. I was so looking forward to getting a nice, leather-bound copy. Guess I'll just have to get a nice leather-bound copy of the NT version then get a full one in a couple of years.

I heard a recent lecture by Fr. Peter Gilquist and in response to a question he said some people working on it had been sick, he was undergoing cancer treatment, and I think one person had died, and it would be delayed until, he hoped, summer of 2006.
I decided not to wait, I bought the Orthodox New Testament and put the Sir Lancelot translation of the LXX on my PDA. That can also be purchased in an updated language version as the Apostles Bible.
