The masses are told to go to work so they can buy more. Work hard so you have money to spend. Buy a house and a couple of cars.
If you get stressed from overwork and sick, go to a doctor. Spend your hard earned money on drugs. Thatll fix you up so you can go back to work and earn more so you can spend more.
Since youre so busy, working so hard, you dont have time to fix proper meals so youll need to grab something on the run. Those drive thrus are great for that.
Did you stop to pray? Did you give God thanks for that junk food youre about to eat so you can make it through the day? Did it nourish your body?
Oh, cell phones ringing as you drive. No time to think or to pray. Just time to quickly swallow that big bite of the breakfast muffin in your mouth before answering. You had to take big bites because you have to hurry up and finish your breakfast so you can be there on time. Youre already running late because you overslept. Youre so tired because you stayed up late working. There was that phone call last night that just couldnt wait.
