No doubt. Unfortunately, we can find no traces of a city destroyed by a supernatural force anywhere.

Pretty thorough, eh?

I don't get it. God exists, therefore an empire exists? How does that change your claim that your deity is "backed up by a whole empire"?

God exists --- God says 'do this' and 'do that' --- people 'do this' and 'do that' --- and an empire is forged from technically nowhere. God says if they 'do this' and 'do that', He will protect them. That's exactly what happened.

I submit that the Jews are ample proof of God's existence.

Pretty non-existant, more like.

Empires fall. Where, exactly, was your god when this happens?

I submit that the Jews are ample proof of God's existence.
I submit that there was not a Jewish empire, thereby invalidating your argument.
Now Muslims, they had an empire. Want to continue the proof of Allah? Or maybe Brahman?

Indeed. In fact, the ways of the supernatural are of such unheard-of thoroughness that just this very moment, a tiny homunculus appeared on my desk from out of nowhere and killed everyone in the room with a mere flick of the wrist.

Needless to say, the bodies were inmediately magicked away and every document in the world referring to their existence destroyed.

Why don't you believe this story?

I stand corrected. Everyone knows that the Jews have always formed a strong, united empire, magically protected from every form of harm the world may have had intended for them.

Validating the Abrahamic Covenant.

I submit that there was not a Jewish empire, thereby invalidating your argument.

Do what???

Allah is the moon god of the Quraysh (?) tribe from which Mohammad was born --- Brahman, or more correctly, Brahma is a Hindu god.

Both are false idols.

Validating the Abrahamic Covenant.
And thereby failing to fulfill his promise of immunity?

Do what???
I reiterate: there was no Jewish empire. What makes you think there was one? True, Judaism was wide-spread, but so is Christianity nowadays. Do you really claim that there is a Christian empire?

I'd also like to point out your fallacy:

1) The Judaeo-Christian god is claimed to have ensured an empire for his believers
2) A (Judaeo-)Christian empire existed
3) Therefore, the Judaeo-Christian god intervened
4) Therefore, the Judaeo-Christian god exists

The fallacy here is that Correlation does not imply Causation. So, just because the Christians had an empire, does not mean it's the empire their god promised them.

Allah is the mood god of the Quraysh (?) tribe from which Mohammad was born
Do you mean 'moon'?

Brahman, or more correctly, Brahma is a Hindu god.
I beg to differ. ब्रह्म (brahma) is the nominative singular, whilst ब्रह्मन् (brahman) is the neuter plural. Since Brahman is considered to be a plurality of many thousands of deities, I would argue for the latter. However, both words are in popular usage, and we are just arguing semanitics.

Both are false idols.
Offensive and unjustified assertion. I posit that it is your god who is the false idol. After all, the FSM came to me in a dream yesterday, and did tell me that AV1611VET would say, 'Both are false idols.', and wouldst in fact be referring to his own deity.
Do you see, via my lovely sarcasm, that your argument is both offensive and unjustified? Arguments that work both ways get us nowhere.

The god of the bible exists because "his followers" have build an empire.

No --- God is self-existing. I said the closest proof of God's existence are the Jews (i.e. Jewish empire [kingdom, actually]).

The god of the Qu'ran, whose followers also build an empire, doesn't exist, because well, I say so.

Muslims existed long before the Koran was written. They just took an object in space that Jehovah created and called it their god.

But why? After all, I provided evidence for it by writing it down!

I've been through this before, but in case you missed it, I have some questions:
  • How many authors wrote your story?
  • Was a nation formed around your story?
  • Who died getting your story published?
I could make the questions even tougher, but I believe these make my point.

Only one, namely me.

Was a nation formed around your story?
No, just like there was no nation formed specifically around the story of Sodom and Gomorrha.

Who died getting your story published?
All those killed by the homicidal homunculus, in total 14 people.

I could make the questions even tougher, but I believe these make my point.
Point taken: your stories are just as plausible as mine.

So the validity of a statment is now determined by the number of authors, whether a nation was formed based on the statement, and if people die for the statment?
Your points are, unsurprisingly, irrelevant. Validity is dependant only on logic.

AV1611VET, I'm beginning to suspect that you're simply a Creationist parody! I sure hope I'm right...

Only one, namely me.

That makes your story about 1/40 as plausible as mine, but to show I'm inflating the odds in your favor at 1/40[sup]th[/sup], consider this:

The Bible's authors wrote over a period of some 1500 years:
  • from 3 different continents
  • in 3 different languages
  • from a variety of backgrounds and vocations
  • in times of war and peace
  • in fear, anger, and joy
  • historically, poetically, and prophetically
...and it all fits like a glove.

No, just like there was no nation formed specifically around the story of Sodom and Gomorrha.

A body of water was, though - (the Dead Sea).

All those killed by the homicidal homunculus, in total 14 people.

They didn't write the story though - you did.

Point taken: your stories are just as plausible as mine.

Not even close --- even when I inflate your odds.

AV1611VET, I'm beginning to suspect that you're simply a Creationist parody! I sure hope I'm right...

The farm bill should be
Eight-nine percent paroty
And all their fellow recommends
It should be mound at three
But eighty, ninety-five percent who cares about decree
It's paroty that no one understands
The county's in the very best of hands.

From the song, The Country's in the Very Best of Hands - L'il Abner.

Oh, wait ... you said "parody" ... sorry!
