Scripture(the bible) not only speaks of those that were around then in that certain era and age, but also in the upcoming one. The bible lays out the covenant that God set before the foundation of the world. God foreknew all that would happen, He prepared a way and path for us to be reconciled to Him. God gave free will. Sin came as no surprise to the very One that already foresaw it.
Before we set foot on the earth, God knew that we would fall. He knew that we would need a Savior and He sent forth a perfect, blameless, beautiful Reconciler, Savior, and Sacrifice. We have a Redeemer that bled on the behalf of humanity. God foreknew that all would not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. But, He allows for us to choose between good and evil. There is no step that we can take, situation nor circumstance that can happen in our lives that God has not foreseen. Our entire life is known by God. Those that will accept the bidding and invitation sent forth from God, are those that will be saved. Those that put their trust in God, and seek after Him, will be saved. Those that thirst and hunger after righteousness, will be filled. Those that seek after Christ will find Him. Those that desire to know and live for God, God has known you before the first millisecond on earth. Our hearts are constructed and designed by Him. The Word says that those that call on the name of Jesus will be saved. I believe that this is a continuous calling on the name of Jesus. Those that do the will of God are those that believe and have faith in Him, meaning that Christ must be our Savior and Lord. Our own understanding is not sufficient and filling. We are called to have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. We are to take our concerns, thoughts, and ideas to Him, and ask for guidance and the leading of His Holy Spirit. The Word is God breathed, the Bible is not archaic. All of the personalities and characteristics that have ever been and will ever be of humanity are detailed in the Word. God describes the entirety of humanity in the Word.
We are called to walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh because the Word says that those that walk after the flesh will die, but those walk after the Spirit will live. The Spirit gives life. The very same Spirit that dwelled in Jesus, now dwells in those that God calls the children of Him. The Spirit descended unto those that believe Christ to be Savior and to those that are apart of the Body of Christ. We are called the Body of Christ, and the very same Holy Spirit that dwelled in Jesus Christ’ body, dwells in those that God calls the Body of Christ now. We must be born again to inherit the Kingdom of God, meaning that the very same Spirit that Christ was baptized in must dwell in us, otherwise we will not make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:6 ‘Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Which spirit? The Holy Spirit that God sent unto those that believe in Christ as Lord and Savior. Christ fulfilled the law, not destroying the law, but being the sufficiency and the last sacrifice EVER on the behalf of those that believe. Christ Jesus’ blood was shed for the remission of our sins. That is why we are not under the law, because the law could not give life. Because the law could not give life, Christ came to set us free from being under the law. In the Old testament, Christ had not descended to earth, bodily yet. They were underneath the law. The law was in effect because of transgressions. When Christ came to die on the cross to destroy the works of satan. The Holy Spirit was released onto those that believe in Jesus.
When sin came entered the world, the world shifted into a fallen state, and because of sin, death came into the world. Christ came to destroy all of the works of the devil.
Christ is Lord!
