We need to discuss the doctrine of salvation. To start the discussion, I offer the following brief and admittedly incomplete outline of the most very basic elements of salvation.

1. Salvation is the Reconciliation of Man with God
A. Salvation Includes Justification and Sanctification
B. Salvation is not Progressive
C. Salvation is Internal, not External
2. Salvation is in Jesus Alone
A. Jesus Himself Reconciles Us With God
B. There is no Possibility of Salvation Except By Jesus
C. The Marker of Salvation is Jesus' Presence in a Person's Heart
3. Salvation is the Positive Result Evangelism
A. God Actively Evangelizes Every Lost Person
B. God Invites Us to Join Him in Evangelizing the Lost
C. The Positive Result of Evangilism is Salvation for the Lost; the Negative Result is no Change of Status for the Lost

Scriptures can be added and much more can be said about this, but it is a start.

God is offering salvation, but i like to combine two other words with salvation. Because the only book of The Bible, The Gospel of John rarely uses the word salvation.
Those two words are Eternal Life salvation, that way this can be separated out. From when The Bible uses salvation in reference to a physical salvation (deliverance) from persecution. Or a deliverance (for a believer) from a discipline or judgment from God for disobedience by a child.
