Not sure I like the screw cap thing either. The only real protection from air getting into the bottle is the wrapper around the screw cap, because all the screw caps I've seen are thin and cheap.FYI, I bought a bottle of French Bordeaux wine yesterday.
It has a screw on cap.
I'm drinking it now, it's OK, but I'm not a big fan of white wines, so I'm not sure
if it's top notch or not.
A cork that the wine wets when the bottle is laid horizontal still appears to be the best seal.
The only other thing that would make the screw cap idea better is to have a plastic seal inside the rim of the bottle neck that has to be removed initially.
