A man asked saint Paul and his companion, saint Silas, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" you can read their reply in the passage shown below. But what is your answer?
And at midnight, Paul and Silas, praying, praised God. And they that were in prison heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and the bands of all were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awakening out of his sleep and seeing the doors of the prison open, drawing his sword, would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying: Do thyself no harm, for we all are here. Then calling for a light, he went in: and trembling, fell down at the feet of Paul and Silas. And bringing them out, he said: Masters, what must I do, that I may be saved? But they said: believe in the Lord Jesus: and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they preached the word of the Lord to him and to all that were in his house. And he, taking them the same hour of the night, washed their stripes: and himself was baptized, and all his house immediately. And when he had brought them into his own house, he laid the table for them: and rejoiced with all his house, believing God. And when the day was come, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying: Let those men go. And the keeper of the prison told these words to Paul: The magistrates have sent to let you go. Now therefore depart. And go in peace. But Paul said to them: They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men that are Romans, and have cast us into prison. And now do they thrust us out privately? Not so: but let them come. And let us out themselves. And the serjeants told these words to the magistrates. And they were afraid: hearing that they were Romans. And coming, they besought them: and bringing them out, they desired them to depart out of the city. And they went out of the prison and entered into the house of Lydia: and having seen the brethren, they comforted them and departed.

And in Acts 16 :33 it says that , Having believed and was BAPTIZED // BAPTIZO INSTANTLY . REALLY ?

Does that mean that they had a BAPTISMAL in that house ?

Just because it says BAPTIZED does that means it was water baptism ??

What are your thoughts on 1 Cor 10: where they were BAPTIZED unto MOSES in the CLOUD , and is the SEA .

How were they BAPTIZED unto Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA ?

If Jesus had no SIN why did John the BAPTIZER , WATER BAPTIZE Jesus in Matt 3:15 >

And if in Acts 2:38 why did all that were Baptize have to REPENT to receive the HOLY SPIRIT ?

When anyone sees the Greek word BAPTISMO does it ALWAYS mean WATER ?

Or when you see the word WATER , does it always mean WATER BAPTISM ?

notice the baptism came after he already believed. the believing came first, he was saved, then the baptism happened. we see the same thing in Acts 8:37 "If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest." Water baptism has nothing to do with salvation, however it is a good thing to do after one is saved because it is a command from Jesus. but not required for ones salvation. salvation is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

are there, did they really believe?

John 11
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Acts 16:25-40 DRB
Our salvation is from sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4), so while we are not required to earn our salvation as the result of having first obeyed God's law, having the experience of living in obedience to it through faith in Jesus is intrinsically part of what we need to do in order be saved from having the experience of not living in obedience to it. The way that we live testifies about what we believe to be true about the nature of who God is, so by doing good works in obedience to God, we are testifying that He is good, which is why our good works bring glory to Him (Matthew 5:13-16), and by testifying that God is good we are also expressing the belief that God is good, or in other words, we are believing in Him. So the way to believe that Jesus is holy is by doing what is holy in obedience to God's law in accordance with the example that he set for us to follow (Be holy, for I am holy (1 Peter 1:16)), and so forth for other aspects of his nature, and that is how we believe in him. This is why there are many verses that connect our faith/belief in God with our obedience to Him, such as in James 2:18, he would show his faith by his works, and in Revelation 14:12, those who kept faith in Jesus are the same as those who kept God's commandments.

How would you test that question?
well it's like Judas, he followed Jesus around, but betrayed Him, He did not believe Jesus was the Son of God.

Like it's not enough to believe that Jesus was a real person, or "a good teacher" or "enlightened" that's not going to save.
Jesus claimed to be one with God the Father, do they believe THAT?
Jesus claimed that He would return from heaven, using passages of scripture that equated Him with the Lord God. Do they believe Him?
and in the passage I quoted, Jesus claimed that He is the resurrection, do they believe Him?

It depends on WHAT they believe about Jesus. that He is the Lord God, that He is God come in the Flesh, died, and resurrected.
That is a harder belief than just believing Jesus was "a good teacher" even though that would be an ignorant belief as Jesus claimed to be God. A "good teacher" does not claim to be God. You either then believe Jesus was a lie, never existed, Jesus is a liar and all His claims are pipe dreams, a crazy man spouting nonsense, or that He is telling the truth and really is God. Only in ignorance can you believe Jesus was "a good teacher" and historical person, but not God.

What saves is belief in and trust on the atoning work (blood, Ro 3:25) and person of Jesus Christ for the remission of one's sin and reconciliation with God.

Since even the demons believed, could not a person whose heart hasatan entered also believe ? They know Jesus is the Son of God, but cannot be saved.
God didn't come in the form of an angel to die for their sins. So sure, they can believe and not be saved. God came to Earth, as a man, and died four our sins, and He promised, if you believe IN Him, you will not perish, but have eternal life.
Sin requires atonement and the only atonement suitable is death.
the Death of Jesus, is our Atonement.
angels don't have that. So when an angel sins, they die, forever. They cannot be forgiven because their sin cannot be atoned. God did not make them in His image, and God did not incarnate as one of them to die for them.
So literally nothing they can do can save them, they need 100% obedience.

So, believing in Jesus for Eternal life, should also mean that you believe everything else that Jesus said, because you are banking your entire eternity off a promise He made, if He lied in even any of His statements, then His promise would also be a lie, and there would be no salvation in Him, not with any kind of rituals or religion based around Him.

So when He promises "whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.", the question is, do you believe Him?
That is even what He asks: "Believest thou this?"

If BAPTISM means water , your thoughts on 1 Cor 15:29 where it says they WERE BAPTIZED FOR THE DEAD ?

dan p
Baptism means "to immerse" and that doesn't specify water. Baptism is covering up really. so when Moses tred on the dry red sea floor, He was "covered" by God, without getting wet, and why? Because they believed God would deliver them and not let them drown in the sea.

.in other words, this is a pretty serious claim to be making, and has pretty serious implications! Paul proceeds to set them straight in the truth:

After a brief excursus on the resurrection, Paul returns to their heresy -- this time to highlight its absurdity:

Paul mentions two reasons why it is absurd to think that the dead are not raised. (We'll return to this in a moment.) Then he concludes with this:

Paul's conclusion is a shameful rebuke of the sinfulness and deception of this heresy."

When Jesus promised that "whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."
the next question is
"Believest thou this?"

If the answer has "and" or "but" in it, then your answer is "no."

Thanks for your reply and 1 Cor 15:29 is all about RESSURRECTION and the correct answer I believe is found in Rom 6:3 and 4 .

Inverse 3 , Or are you Ignorant , that as many as were BAPTISO // PLACED into Christ Jesus were BAPTISO// PLACED into His DEATH .

Just a reminder to ALL the the word BAPTIZED , does NOT ALWAYS means WATER BAPTISM .

Like in 1 Cor 10:2 where they were BAPTIZED UNTO Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA ?

How were the children of Israel BAPTIZED unto Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA .

In Rom 6:4 it reads , Therefore ., we were BAPTISMA is the Greek word used here and will all check what the Greek text says ?

SO the Greek word BAPTISMA means that the HOLY SPIRIT , PLACES all those saved by GRACE into the death , speaking about Christ death . son that we we also be RESURRECTED at his coming for us , 2 Thess 2:1 where the Greek word COMING / PAROUSIA

Remember Eph 4:5 ONE LORD , ONE FAITH , ONE BAPTISMA and BAPTISMA i the Greek that is used 22 times from Matthew through 1 Peter 3:21 .

BAPTISMA means that the BAPTISMA is the HOLY SPIRIT .

Simon Magus is a prime example. I asked once here if Simon Magus was a Christian and didn't get a lot of response to the question. Then also the other Samaritans along with him. Then Apollos of Alexandra of Acts 18. Apollos was actually preaching that Jesus was the Christ but then had to be further instructed. The disciples of Ephesus of Acts 19 believed but then had to be baptized and have hands laid on them to receive the Holy Spirit.

I think that ignoring the rest of the Bible hoping that one verse might somehow save a sinner without realizing the truth
is not good.
The rest of the bible connects salvation to belief over and over again.
If any of those statements are lies then the whole bible is a lie.

Missed the point: In the Bible: even the demons believe; and are never saved.

Yes, I already explained. Jesus did not come in the form of an angel and die for their sins. Their sins cannot be atoned for.

Let's term it this way.
A demon can believe, do good works, get baptized, take communion, and do ALL the things you think you need to be saved.... and never be saved.
Because the basis of salvation is not your own doings.
It is because Jesus died in your place.
Jesus did not die in the place of any Angel for their sins, therefore the judgement of their sin is still their death.
