I have to admit that I went to the site trying to prove evidence of porno but was unsuccessful.

What I did find was a subcatagory for homosexual Christians named Side B under construction that stated:

For starters, some definitions are in order! What does this "SideB" thing mean? Essentially, "SideB" is a way to describe a set of beliefs about human sexuality. Just like any term that attempts to define a set of beliefs, there's definitely individual variation, but the basic tenets are these:

1) We believe that God has established a very particular context for sexual expression: namely, in a monogamous marriage between a man and a woman.

2) Therefore, we as SideB people do not seek out sexual relationships with same-sex partners. Instead, those of us who are gay/bisexual and SideB choose paths of singleness/celibacy, or committed friendships/relationships that do not involve sexual activity between same-sex partners.

3) We believe that simply experiencing same-sex attraction (e.g. having a homosexual or bisexual orientation) is NOT inherently sinful, and that efforts to become heterosexual are NOT required to live a life that is pleasing to God.

The site is still under construction, but it is nice to know that there are some out their trying to live by a higher moral standard and not claiming that celibacy/denial results in mania.

And have to live out a life without fulfillment? as if Jesus would want that for anyone. Nice try, but the Side B arguments do not hold water.

Well one little exception -- it DOES result in mania for gay die-hards. ;)

Do us a favor. Please stay there. :amen:

We won't bother you if you don't bother us.
I just changed the doctrine of a Conservative Church, actually, since it is FALSE doctrine that was previously taught, even the preacher accepted that who is heterosexual.

It's good that they aren't going around sodomizing eachother, but I disagree when they say "same-sex attraction" isn't a sin. Do they think Jesus wants them lusting about the same sex and their perversion even if they don't act out on it?
No that is not what they are saying. If they thought it wasnot sinful, they would not have a problem with it.

THESE HOMOSEXUALS AGREE THAT HOMOSEXUAL SEX IS A SIN AND THEY ARE BRAVELY STANDING BEFORE THE GAY COMMUNITY AND MAKING THAT STATEMENT.

Jesus remained on the cross and it had nothing to do with personal fulfillment. He did not want to suffer, but he knew his way was the highway.

I don't know where the quote from the OP is, so I will respond to it here:

http://www.whosoever.org/
http://www.gayatmessiah.org/
http://online.logcabin.org/about/

These I knew of off the top of my head. The rest are from a quick google search:
http://www.coolnurse.com/homosexuality.htm (a basic, "so what's all this about?" page)
http://www.glaad.org/
http://www.pflag.org/

Now, if you go to most of these sites deliberately searching for something to call vulgar, I'm sure you will find it. It just requires defining any positive mention of homosexuality "vulgar" or any picture of two fully clothed men standing close enough to breathe the same air "pornographic."

Searching for these took...3 minutes. 5 tops, most of that time being spent weeding out the sites that were so basic I considered including them to be "cheating,"--encyclopedia entries and such.

Side B: Celibacy - - you don't get to have a life, sorry

I revised the thread title
I pretty much agree with this statement.

I wonder how many of those on this forum recommending celibacy for us could go their entire life without any sort of physical contact even with their married partner.

I am a member on gaychristian.net. I have found them very supporting, unlike this forum. I am aware of both sides. I have my opinions on the matter, but I also respect their decision. There is no such greater virtue than celibacy, but if a person is unable to resist temptation, he should get married.

It's all in the reason for it, Brieuse.

If you are staying celibate because you believe God wants you to, go for it. If you are staying celibate because you believe it is sin even in a life-long committed partnership, then that is really sad.

Of course yes! celibacy to my understanding is a personal contract between yourself and God. To legislate it to a group of people would make it wrong, and would certain cease it from being personal.
