Awwww Nom, Had no idea you were a parent :) their cute.

I'm not, they're my nieces; however, the one under the blue blanket is pretty much my daughter.

When the twins were born one of them had to spend the first 3 months in the hospital (I wasn't working at the time, I was actually living at my sister's place because her house got broken into and she wanted somebody there while she was at work, so I stepped up and took her on as my daughter), Phylisha ended up staying with me and my Sister stayed at the hospital almost all day and night (she would only come home for a bit to shower and get a few things); anyway, so from a newborn until she was 3 months old I feed, changed, coddled, and everything else that you can think of to do with a newborn - including use the Kangaroo method of putting her to sleep (allowing her to fall asleep on my bare chest so she could hear my heartbeat, and feel more comfortable being skin to skin).

Unfortunately, after Abigail was released from the hospital my sister couldn't handle the responsibility of twins and ended up running away - so, again, Phylisha ended up in my care for another 2 months; she couldn't fall asleep unless she was placed on my chest, she'd cry for an hour at times until I got there and would put her to sleep.

She and I are pretty close, she gets pretty jealous of me... but, I give her all the reasons to, I love her and treat her that way.

My sister lives with us, we have a pretty big house - so, in turn, the twins live here as well; they get spoiled with attention, love, and care here.

Everything happens for a reason, and everything in its season :)

It must be quite challenging for you, though, I never did find caring for Phylisha challenging at all; even when she was sick, crying for hours, or anything else all I had was love in my heart so nothing shook me.

I try to imagine that's what motherhood must be like.

I think I may do something like this to my toes tonight, after class.......

thumbnail.aspx

Pics! ...I couldn't, for the life of me, do anything like that to my toenails. There are feminine qualities which I lack, and nail/toenail painting is one of them. Lol. I always get my neice to do my toenails for me.:D
