The Bible cannot be judged on whether it is scientifically accurate. We know things now that we didnt know then. The Bible shows how to go to heaven - not how the heavens go, and palces (deep South USA) where they try to teach that Genesis is literally true bring all Christians into ridicule

Jesus spoke numerous times on how the heavens go. You know, the first will be last and the last will be first, all that. And it does teach places. "They went up to Jerusalem" Just because something brings ridicule does not mean that it is false or illogical.
