A crowd of several hundred gathered Saturday night to see Detroit’s newest resident: A 9-foot, 2,000-pound statue of a goat-headed occult idol named Baphomet.

This is one of the signs of the Modern Age rebellion.

St. Paul said Jesus' Second Coming would not happen before the rebellion (2 Thessalonians 2). This rebellion was alluded to by Jesus when, in foretelling what would come at the end of the world, He asked if there would be any faith on earth (Luke 18:8), and when He said, "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect" (Matthew 24).

Some of the signs of the rebellion are:

• Faith in God has been replaced with faith in science and technology
• Abortion is aggressively promoted globally and is called a "right"
• The homosexual revolution (phase II of the sexual revolution)

• Faithful Catholics are now considered bigots
• Atheism and Satanism are on the rise
• TV show host declares "Sin is in"

And, for the first time in history, the U.S. government is trying to coerce Catholic nuns to pay for abortions and contraception.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming. The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." there are some groups who have been deceived into blending Christianity and the world together,

Shortly after posting this thread, I went to watch a little bit of TV. There was a skateboard sport competition on an NBC channel, so I started watching it. But then I noticed that the skateboarder had a big Satanism symbol (a pentagram) on the back of his shirt, and then I noticed at least one guy in the crowd of spectators also wearing a shirt with the same symbol on it. Satanism used to be underground, but now it's part of mainstream western culture. Satan has come out of the closet.
