Recommendation: "The Four Witnesses"

The Four Witnesses by Robin Griffith-Jones. I found this book at the thrift store and it's a very absorbing read. The author explores how each of the four gospels presents Jesus in a particular way: "the Rebel, the Rabbi, the Chronicler, and the Mystic." I learned a lot about the context of the early first century, Jewish cultures of the day, and got a lot of insight into how Jesus is portrayed in the gospels. A heady read, but I think a lot of y'all would like that!
