Question on Confession and Eucharist

Hi,
I seriously am very interested in Orthodoxy, I just love the overall spirituality, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Ok. Random. Is frequent confession, ie every eight days, acceptable? For example, confession before the reception of the Eucharist? ie. once a week. Again, forgive me for my ignorance.

I don't think there are limitations. Lots of people confess and commune every week.

you confess when your priest wants you to confess. the importance is more obedience and a good confession, rather than a numbers game. hope that makes sense.

Matt's right, and you know when you're ready to confess. Trust me. The Holy Spirit will tell you. I always feel when I need to go. And when I feel that pull, I FLY to church!

The last priest I spoke with would set up a time for confession. For example, come to the church parish on Wednesday at 6:15.

Or 5:15 if you are on day light savings time, which would exclude most of Arizona.

Confess when the Holy Spirit leads you to it. I'm a fan of the at least once a month guideline/goal.

Speak with your spiritual father, but the general rule of thumb is every 6 weeks (especially if you are going to be a frequent communicant).
