• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Hello,
I started to get hit this morning with anxiety and a lot of fear. I have been doing a lot to ignore my obsessive thoughts about how to get saved, and rather looking to Jesus for salvation. Although it is creating a lot of anxiety to not ruminate, obsess, and "solve the puzzle" to get saved, I have been having success and I am seeing the fruit.
This morning it seemed that there was a sign that I am on the wrong path and in grave danger, and I need to go back to my old ways of obsessing and figuring salvation out, if I want hope of salvation.
Please pray that I would have the peace of God with me and be led by Him, and be able to have the strength to not give in to the OCD ways of dealing with this anxiety.

God loves you so much He understands your battle and he knows your heart. If you have asked Jesus into your heart to forgive your sins He has. It is difficult with the OCD thoughts and checkings I get like that too. God understands keep confessing the truth of God's word. God is pleased with you he knows your heart and understands the battle.
