Please allow concern to be voiced about the very web-famous (and infamous) image and discussion board called "4-Chan".


4-Chan is supposed to be an internet discussion board. In fact, 4-Chan is behind some of the most popular scenes in internet culture, including "memes". 4-Chan has had an influential role in online culture as we know it.


However, 4-Chan also has a bad reputation for illegal activity and "trolls" (online harassers/abusers) propagating over their boards, especially the "/b (random)" board.

Illegal activities observed on 4-Chan include but are not limited to: pornographic media including or depicting minors, pornographic media including or depicting acts of incest, "deepfake" pornographic media, black-hat hacking information, overt defamation of people and users, threatening behavior, and recordings of people falling victim to crime.


What makes 4-Chan any different from other ordinary websites that have to moderate against illegal posts as well?

This is what makes 4-Chan different -- every day, someone like me or yourself can connect to 4-Chan/b and eventually see something evil. It keeps people like me up at night.


Please give this plaint the attention it deserves.

Well over 99 percent of what you'll find on 4chan is utterly vile garbage. But it is probably the last holdout of free speech on the internet. I'm not willing to kill it off and risk losing the one percent it contributes to society.

I’m not going there. Let them d__ from lack of use. Christians don’t go there so they won’t have any Christians to bash. You can’t change them... in their own element. The sewer is no place to witness or correct. Where are those from anyway. God sent angels and prophets to centers of debauchery, nineveh, sodom, Babylon, around the land of Israel, and prophesies over cities and countries for destruction. They have not all been fulfilled but many have. I think it good to not add to their numbers and let stagnate. God will get ‘em. But in the mean time don’t get any on ya. Free speech is good but it always deteriorates to this type of thing. Jesus would not like it, but would he go there? God I think would condemn such a thing, but I’m a moderate so can’t condemn. Are some of you going there to plant seeds or salvage people from the pit?
