I have a soft spot in my heart for animals. Someone mentioned how God had the animals parade past Adam to name them and that is true, but the reason he did it was because Adam was lonely (no woman yet), and hoped Adam would find a companion to be less lonely. I think about that sometimes because to me it meant that animals were meant to be companions, maybe not all but since God was having Adam choose for himself God knew each of us have our favorites. Of course Adam needed something more, someone he could speak to and understand. I may not be saying all of this accurately but for as long as I can recall animals have been a huge part of my life growing up, and when I was married raising a family, and they still are in my senior years. For me it has been dogs, but I have empathy for all animals and those that love them. I will continue to pray for this little bird and her loving family. It might seem unimportant in the scheme of the universe but it is not. It IS important. God knows when a sparrow falls to the ground, (Matthew 10:29-31) even if no one else ever sees it. It says we are worth more than the sparrows but the fact it says GOD CARES for each little bird says a whole lot about God's love for all his creatures.
Sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a sermon, it is just I am in awe of God's love for all. Prayers continuing for Lucy.
