Please Pray for Cardinal George

Cardinal George of Chicago fractured his femur while blessing Easter baskets on Saturday. He slipped on holy water. It was all over the news, video of him slipping, face scowling in pain - how embarrassing and painful for the poor cardinal. He will have to miss his trip to Rome this month - he was going to celebrate his 10th anniversary there. He should recover in about six weeks.

The article I just read explained that he slipped on holy water on the marble floor, and rose up despite great pain and continued blessing the baskets. He then went on to celebrate Mass before checking into a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a hip fracture.

That is dedication.
