Those verses only say meeting the Lord in the air. Furthermore, it says "Then we which are alive and remain". For proponents of the rapture, I'm sad to say, it doesn't mean escape from the tribulation. It seems say "those who have survived..."
And then we also have these:
Matthew 24:38-40
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
It says here at the coming of the Son of Man what what has happened in time of Noah will also happen....Not literally a flood, but it is the evil who will be taken.
And then this:
Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
I don't see anything wrong with the picture. The Earth is a beautiful beautiful place without those who corrupt in it.
