A couple of shots from a hike in the old growth Western Red Cedar forests in the scenic Columbia River Gorge.

Upper Horsetail falls in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Catastrophic flooding from glacial Lake Missoula carved this part of the gorge creating one of the densest collection of waterfalls in the world.

Back to the coast. A really nice looking Sitka Spruce and a Sitka Spruce forest. Being lightweight and strong, it's a popular wood for building aircraft.

Crater Lake. This used to be a very tall peak until 7700 years ago when it it exploded and fell into itself. Subsequent snow and rainfall filled it's caldera. It's the deepest lake in the United States.
