As for the supposed role of the pastor, it is neither an Office or a so-called 'spiritual gift' where its reference (to the shepherd and not to the pastor) in Eph 4 is speaking of those who have a shepherds heart;

Hello, Its good that you see there should be no one man rule over all in the church called the pastor. But there are pastor GIFTS

'8...and gave gifts unto men...11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"(Ephesians 4:8,10 KJV)

we know that Paul for example was an apostle Paul would say his name "Paul", then they would say "an apostle". So such gifts are still referred to. The idea of a pastors heart is not the scriptural one. Christians all have a new heart where Jesus Christ dwells.

Stop pasting all this stuff that is irrelevant to a reply. It makes me not want to read your posts (just as I didn't read this one.).

Scripture doesn't lie...

“and breaking bread from house to house,” ( Acts 2;46)

“ As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. “ (Acts 8:3) Paul knew where to find them.

“ And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house”(Acts 20:20)

“Likewise greet the church that is in their house.” (Romans 16:5)

“...Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house” (1 Corinthians 16:19)

“Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house. “ (Colossians 4:15)

“And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house” (Philemon 1:2)

“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed” (2 John 10 )

“And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed. “ (Acts 16:40)

“And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying” (Acts 12:12)

“But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people” (Acts 17:5)

No it does not lie. But the scriptures you are pasting are IRRELEVANT to the point. You might as well be pulling verses out of the Bible at random.

When you say things like this,

"I don't know why the conversion of a pagan temple to a Christian church would be considered unbiblical."

It s relevant. Such statements are so intensely wrong and untrue. Scrpiture corrects this thinking on many places.

Sadly some when they are shown to be in error will not simply say, Amen that's a good word. But they will dig in and try to defend the undefendable, this is wrong and not a wise path for you to go.

Conversion is a good thing.

The church is the body of Christ with Jesus Christ himself being the head of that body. Every part of the body supplies and all true believers are one body in Christ. In no way whatsoever is the body of Christ to be referred to as a pagan temple or religious man made building.

You must admit even one error, You are beginning to appear worse as you try to justify calling a pagan temple converted to a so called church building the church.
