We have a Maine Coon Cat and for those not familiar with them, they grow to a good size...a male grows to about 19 lbs on average. Well my daughters jumped up on the desk this morning, did not anticipate his aim properly, landed on the laptop, smashed his head into the screen, dug his claws into the keyboard in between the keys, go a shock of sorts, and the external hard drive fell onto the floor and my glass of soda fell into the cooling fan. First thing to happen was the screen spidered and went dark, then the processor went into hyper-warp and then smoked, the external hard drive is now toast because there were sparks now coming out of it.
I have a saying "the only good cat is a dead cat". Funny thing is that is the only thing that survived.
Fortunately my wife had an 8 year old laptop and I spent a good deal of the day trying to remember as much as I could because my laptop was a business pro series that I did use for just that...business use. However, it is nowhere near the same.
