Do you have acrylic nails put on?
If yes, how often?

Do you do anything else to your nails?

I"ve been a nail techician for 12 years.
I've had acrylic nails on for 12 years.
I did thought take them off recently for 4 months.

Hardly any damage. I do my own nails. I like to have my nails look nice, seen my real nails are so thin.

If you find the right nail tech and she knows her stuff, she will take care of your natural nail as well as your artifical nail. Without the natural nail they have no base to work from.

I think that would be awesome, I want to find a good one, but I don't want to do the trial and error thing. How much do you usually charge? What is the actually different between the gel and acrylic?

I've been wearing acrylics regualrly since 2001. I just get the french manicure stye.

As hat lady said, the right nail tech/salon is key!

I always get acrylics put on for special occassions (formals, holidays, etc.) and I get them done like a French manicure. They look totally hott.

I used to wear acrylics alot when i bit my fingernails...it was the only way i could get my real nails to grow without biting them off. After I got married I took the acrylics off and started manicuring my real nails....quit biting them! Haven't had acrylics since....my real nails are very strong.

I used to pay $30 for a full set of solar nails.

hehe i wear those things from walmart...the ones that u glue on...they work pretty well and look really good

My nail tech uses a product called Elegant Glass w/fiberglass. It's not acrylic, it's more like a glue. Anyway, it's less harsh on the nails but at the same time it's actually stronger than acrylic.

I have my nails done every other week. It's $30.00 for a fill.

I've gotten the french tip gel nails a couple times...they looked great while they were on, but my nails grow so fast that after awhile I just wanted to get them off cuz it starts to look stupid. And they're so hard to get off! Once I used pliers! lol...if your nails grow slowly though, you are an ideal candidate for acrylic nails

Regular manicures. Salon usually every 5 weeks.

I have really short nails. I bite them. Or, did. Trying to grow them out some. I paint them all the time and don't wanna ruin my manicure.
