In going back in checking what you stated with 5Kingdom, it is actually 5Kingdom that I should have responded to who does not hold to the universality of Christ's redemptive work.
I still do not understand how your post solves or is the solution of what 5Kingdom stated.
As I stated this thread has confused me a lot.

His position is that all that the "our" means in 1 John 2:2 is Jew and Gentile. That's patently false as I have shown.

I agree with you. The word, "world" is all inclusive, meaning every human being. Why would you even need to differentiate. Scripture only uses two types of human beings - Jews and Gentiles. Today we would use christian and non-christian to denote the same thing.
