I just want to say I am very proud of my autistic son. He recently returned from a two week vacation in our motorhome. He knew that his cousin, who has learning difficulties, and her boyfriend would be staying with my sister and her husband in their summer home, which is not far from where the motorhome was parked. My son contacted his cousin and invited her and her boyfriend to join him for some fun activites. He also invited them plus my sister, her husband and another sister who was on vacation in the same area, to join him for ice cream at a popular ice cream parlour in the town. They all accepted the ice cream invite and had a great time with my son and he also had great times with his cousin and her boy friend. I am so pleased he took the time to invite his cousin and her boyfriend to spend time with him, as was her mum, who is my third sister and also organised the get together in the ice cream parlour.
