New York, NY (AHN) - An Illinois auto museum is offering $1 million for the car in which actor James Dean rode to his death in 1955. The car's whereabouts are unknown.
Dean wrecked the '55 Porsche 550 Spyder on September 30, 1955 on a California highway. The mangled car was bought by car customizer George Barris, who created the customized 1949 Mercury Dean drove in the film, "Rebel Without a Cause."
