Noting that Trump hasn't lost support, Ben Carson gained support ... largely from Jeb.

IOWA: CARSON, TRUMP TIE FOR LEAD | Monmouth Poll

West Long Branch, NJ – The Monmouth University Poll of likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers finds Ben Carson and Donald Trump tied for the top spot. This marks the first time since July 26 that a poll in any of the first four nominating states has not shown Trump with a nominal lead. Not surprisingly, given the top two contenders in the poll, most Iowa Republicans prefer someone without a traditional political pedigree. At this early stage, though, the vast majority of voters say their eventual support could go to one of several other candidates in spite of their current preference.

When Iowa Republicans are asked who they would support in their local caucus, Ben Carson (23%) and Donald Trump (23%) tie for the top spot. The next tier of candidates includes Carly Fiorina (10%) and Ted Cruz (9%), followed by Scott Walker (7%), Jeb Bush (5%), John Kasich (4%), Marco Rubio (4%), and Rand Paul (3%). The last two Iowa caucus victors, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, each garner 2% of the vote. None of the other six candidates included in the poll register more than 1% support

CNN finally discovered the Monmouth poll. No doubt they spent the past few hours looking to find some way to make Bush look good ... before finally just giving up the ghost and ignoring him.

Trump and Carson are tied at 23%, according to the survey, making it the first time since July 26 that a poll in the first four states to select a Republican nominee did not find Trump substantially ahead of all other candidates.

It's clear to me that the Evangelical vote is more important to the Iowa caucuses than it is elsewhere. Therefore, people like Huckabee, Santorum, and Bachmann did well in them previously and Carson probably has won the hearts of many of the same people now.

It may have heart, but in putting Dr Carson at the top of their list indicates they need his help to cure their brain disease....
LOL ... noting that the digital computer was invented in ... Iowa. Weird ...

LOL ... noting that the ENIAC patent was invalidated because of the earlier Iowa State digital computer.

Atanasoff–Berry computer | Wikipedia

Atanasoff and Berry's computer work was not widely known until it was rediscovered in the 1960s, amidst conflicting claims about the first instance of an electronic computer. At that time, the ENIAC was considered to be the first computer in the modern sense, but in 1973 a U.S. District Court invalidated the ENIAC patent and concluded that the ENIAC inventors had derived the subject matter of the electronic digital computer from Atanasoff (see Patent dispute).

Where did you get that nonsense?
I've known it for some time.

Does this help your understanding?
John Vincent Atanasoff and the Birth of Electronic Digital Computing | Iowa State University

The Atanasoff Berry Computer, later named the ABC, was built at Iowa State University from 1939-1942 by physics professor Dr. John Vincent Atanasoff and his graduate student, Clifford Berry.

Operation/Purpose
Why did Atanasoff invent the ABC? What did he intend for it to do? Atanasoff was a professor of Mathematics and Physics, and the 1920s and 30s were a time of active discoveries and new theories for the scientific disciplines, but especially for the physics discipline.
...
In his proposal to the Iowa State College for the funding of the construction of the machine, titled Computing Machine for the Solution of Large Systems of Linear Algebraic Equations, Atanasoff writes,

Since an expert computer requires about eight hours to solve a full set of eight equations in eight unknowns, k is about 1/64. To solve twenty equations in twenty unknowns should thus require 125 hours. But this caculation does not take into effect the increased labor due to the greater chances of error in the larger systems ... The solution of general systems of linear equations with a number of unknowns greater than ten is not often attempted. But this is precisely what is needed to make approximate methods more effective in the solution of practical problems.

My mistake....... Colossus was the world's first electronic digital programmable computer.

Yes it says a lot about the people Iowa elect to represent them, it seems people there vote with their hearts and not their heads,
Tell me, if people in Iowa are in trouble would they rather pray than actually do something about the problem?

Just for the record, contrary to the narrative here ... Christians are the one group not really supporting Trump.

Iowa Poll: Where's Trump's GOP support? Almost everywhere | USA Today

The billionaire businessman and media personality is the top choice for 30% of Iowa Republicans who identify with the tea party movement, 30% of business-oriented establishment Republicans and 16% of Christian conservatives.
Noting that's ONLY 16% of Christian conservatives ...
