Missouri finds no wrongdoing in its Planned Parenthood investigation
Missouri became the sixth state to find no wrongdoing in its investigation of Planned Parenthood — just as the organization's president prepares to testify before a House committee Tuesday for the first time since an anti-abortion group released secretly recorded videos accusing the group of illegally profiting from fetal tissue.

"As a result of our investigation, the Office of the Missouri Attorney General has found no evidence that that [Planned Parenthood] has engaged in unlawful disposal of fetal organs and tissue," a report concluded. Investigations in Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and South Dakota have cleared the group, as well, and a seventh has declined to even open investigations, citing lack of evidence.
What can you expect when the entire controversy is a manufactured lie?

This thread is not about the legality of abortion, so keep those arguments out of this.

I'm betting PP keeps pretty good records on this that would tell the tale better than an undercover partisan operation with edited video tapes and leading questions.
Indeed. I imagine all of their workers are given some type of training when asked questions. Unfortunately, sometimes those asking questions like to alter video....

Doesn't matter, the propaganda has fallen on fertile ground where-ever it could. Lies will always triumph over truth.

Any time a "private investigation" takes place at the hands of an "Activist" group, you can usually be pretty sure that the activist group is sucking sour grapes about something that happened recently and the allegations that result from it are typically bogus.

I would liken it to the same level of nonsense as the "PETA: Meet your Meat" series of 'investigatory videos'. Essentially, hide out until you find the one person out of a million who acts unethically (if you can't find one, that's okay, you can fake it and use a plant), creatively edit it to maximize shock value, then try to use that as ammo against an entire organization/industry as to give the impression that the depicted (maybe falsely depicted) unethical behavior is the 'norm'

I blame Michael Moore lol.

Ever since he showed the world that you don't need facts to participate in investigatory video-journalism (only a flare for the dramatic, some loaded questions, and creative editing), more and more groups have been mimicking that formula.

Somehow I knew this was all going to be some liberals fault! :D
tulc(is glad Mrs.tulc is back!)

Obviously I was being comical with my "I blame Michael Moore" comment...while I don't like him, and do think it's encouraged a new breed of 'investigatory journalism" in which facts are secondary to emotion...Obviously I realize that people were doing that before him.

I felt it was fair to point out that republican advocacy groups aren't the only ones who employ that tactic, I chose a comedic effect to express that...

If you'll notice, I acknowledged that I was agreeing with your side about the supposed allegations against PP, however I also felt it fair to note that they weren't the only ones guilty of employing those kinds of tactics for political reasons

Interesting reaction too, when PETA did that Conservatives put laws in place to curve investigatory video's, when the PP thing came up they took up a rash rush to legislative judgement.

Not saying your wrong...but can you provide some details about the laws you're referencing?

From what I'm seeing on various video sites, PETA is still making the same kinds of videos.

Not at all surprising. Planned Parenthood isn't autonomous. They're subject to inspections and audits.

Now we have to deal with the fact that government on both sides of the aisle has known all along what was going on.
But "what was going on" happens to have been "nothing wrong". So...

Interesting...never knew that, that's for posting.

However, in the interest of fairness, it doesn't appear to be all on the conservatives in terms of creating ag gag laws.
In many of these state-level house/senate bills I'm seeing from the wiki article, they passed with large bipartisan support.
...and in 3 instances, the bills were even introduced by democrats
Representative Gary Haluska (D-73)
Robert Starr (D-Essex-Orleans)
John Rodgers (D-Essex-Orleans)

Maybe not strictly, but they have had the most success in states that have a particularly conservative bent.

California is an interesting outlier though but they do do a lot of agriculture.

Planned Parenthood should just be burnt to ashes and whisked into an ocean of sharks.

It was founded by quite possibly the most horrible woman ever to have existed since Jezebel, and does nothing but destroy life and uphold falsities of feminism. It is a very unholy institution that needs an undoing.

Be that as it may, you're not going to gain any ground against them by using weak tactics like dishonest videos.
