Read the Sabbath commandment in Deuteronomy 5:20. It points to the Exodus. Therefore it applies to the Jews.Read the sabbath commandment in Exodus 20. It points to God's creation. Therefore it applies to all mankind. And as long as His creation exists, the sabbath is binding on them.
Jesus fulfilled the sabbath? Yes, He did keep the sabbath as He also did not kill, lie... So does it mean the commandments on murder and lying are done away too? So christians can freely break them?
OrthodoxyUSA: So, you have some "secret" teachings, then? That's what I thought. As for me, I'll stick with the scriptures as I've proved them to be accurate time and time again.
Take care.
P.S. Why don't you ever actually say anything? You keep on talking about your "teachings", but you don't state what they actually are. What are you afraid of? Reproof?

Hi new guy. Welcome to GT.
How many of my 17k posts have you read?
Forgive me...

Pythons said:God established Moses and the Old Covenant Priesthood as THE religious authority....
....And gave commandments as to how, when and why worship was to be conducted.
....Korah didn't like that, that Moses was 'above the people' - we all know what happend to him.
Aaron had two sons, who were priests, that DIDN'T follow the Liturgy properly...
...We all know what happened to them.
God is manifested in the Person Jesus Christ who fulfills ALL things which were spoken of...
...In the Law & the Prophets.
Instructs His Apostles that they are to go and "teach" all Nations all things which He commanded them....
...Acts 1 is very clear that Jesus continued issuing "commandments" unto the Apostles He selected.
Everyone is not a Pope or a Council - is that better or would you like me to start quoting Scripture?
....Which demonstrates what I've just said.
I love a mystery!Pythons: Actually, you've still said nothing. Where's the beef? You know, the secret teachings that those who follow the scriptures are apparently ignorant of (not in reality, of course, but only according to you and OrthodoxyUSA)?
OrthodoxyUSA: I've been here for 5 years.
I used to be more active on the old heathen General Apologetics board. Not on GT you haven't. Unless you've been using a different name?
WE (you and I) have never spoken before have we?
Take a look at my active threads in this section.
If that doesn't help PM me and we can go over things that you would like to talk about.
Forgive me...
And yet more wasted words. It's obvious that you have nothing to offer. Enjoy your secret society.

2 Peter 3 said:Bear in mind that our Lords patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
2 Peter 1 said:We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
This might help you.
We = "Apostolic Authority" that was charged by God to go and 'teach' all nations...
...Not everyone gets to be a Bishop, however I understand why you would need to push the interpretation that way.

OrthodoxyUSA said:If you want the short version on what the Apostolic Churches teach concerning the Lord's second coming...
2Pe 3:10 ¶But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
(forget your pipe-dream of Apostolic Authority"),
Now I want to be a "Bishop"? Where did you get that from? Don't tell me...let me guess...the entrails of an owl?
