Just wondering if anyone saw this--it's the first time I've heard of him, though he is well known in Northern Alaska. Died about 100 years ago--I am surprised we have not heard more about him. It certainly shows how God works with all.

David Gates, the one that was in that great 70s soft rock group 'Bread?"

I suppose you find that a humerous response... to each his own.

Btw, your avatar is a great representation of Christian values. :|

No humor implied, East Coast.
That's the only DG I"m familiar with.

My apologies...

David Gates is a SDA missionary who reached many Amazon tribes through his small aircraft ministry.

Not too inconceivable.
Randy Bachman, one of the leaders of The Guess Who, a late 60s Canadian rock group, was Mormon. One reason he left the group was the other guys' sex and alcohol lifestyle, which obv. was distasteful to him.

Dan Peek, the lead singer of America, that early 70s group, left for similar reasons.

Plus Kerry Livgren of Kansas, Mark Farner of Grand Funk, as well as Tommy James of Tommy James & The Shondells...

That former avitar was merely a comic book drawing of a man and woman kissing.
Sort of like the hero kissing the girl...
I use that avitar on other boards.

Didn't mean for it to be "offensive" in any way.

Christian couples kiss and do a lot more than that. It's one of my favorite pastimes...:D
