Amen!! Just gave me chills reading that. Praise the Lord for our Christian youth. They are few and far it seems these days. I KNOW you had to have been one proud mommy to be able to sit and have that conversation with your daughter. I always think of how my daughter will one day be a man's wife and I pray a good Christian one at that. I pray often for and with her for that.and my daughter and I had a great discussion about what she could do to tell people about Jesus (love how they bring those insightful thigns up!!!!)
Ooh, I'd love it if my hubby and I did the bible studies together. You are very lucky. I'm trying not to press my hubby too bad, although, I know he'd do it with me, I want him to be sincere about it. I'm reading through a Purpose Filled Life and will TRY to work in a time for us to do some bible studying together. It's either that are we're going to HAVE to get up earlier and go to bible study together (kinda hard with a newborn to get there early enough).
Well today I actually hit it pretty hard.
*I vacuumed and it has been a century since I was able to do that last.
*vacuumed the bathroom floor (gets those hairs up better)
*swept the kitchen floor
*ran the dishwasher
*hand washed some tupperware, bowls, and bottles
*cleaned the bathroom up
*cleaned the bedrooms and picked up my oldest daughter's (needs a vacuum)
*arranged the homeschool lesson books and work sheets for tomorrow
*finally arranged a ton of homeschool books we were given
*picked up an iron and a box that's been sitting in the kitchen for ages
*washed two loads of clothes
*threw a couple of pizzas in the oven and made hubby a sandwich
*went to the store with my oldest for a block of cheese lol
*rented a movie of her choice (Home On The Range and it was horrible but enjoyed the time with her)
*came back home and then went to her room for us to have 1 on 1 time while hubby watched after Hailey.
*Bathed Hannah and dressed her for bed. She's in her room rewatching the movie.
I am pretty pooped out but ya know I feel great at the same time. My house is clean (been staying pretty clean but the carpet was in need of a vacuum)
I managed to get so much done because I went down to the basement and got the baby walker. A 10 week old child loooves being in it. She is too grown for her britches I tell you. All I have to do is put a towel in front of her in case that noggin decides to fall over. She eats on the towel lol.
I'm feeling sooo blessed and on fire for the Lord!! I could just move into church lol. I'm just about on the verge of giving up tv all together lol. That movie was all the tv I've seen today.
Tomorrow, I desperately need to mop that kitchen floor and wipe down the walls/doors through the hall. I need to work laundry as well. I'll probably do a bit of laundry folding tonight. I'll have to see how Hailey does, she's asleep across my lap now and just got through nursing.
Am I over the top, or do you feel you're not only honoring God in keeping your house, but also your husband? To me it shows that my hubby is the head of the household.
I've know of a couple in deep marital problems because a sahm wouldn't keep house. I feel very happy when my hubby compliments me and says he's happy that I take care of our children and home the way I do.
