and my daughter and I had a great discussion about what she could do to tell people about Jesus (love how they bring those insightful thigns up!!!!)
Amen!! Just gave me chills reading that. Praise the Lord for our Christian youth. They are few and far it seems these days. I KNOW you had to have been one proud mommy to be able to sit and have that conversation with your daughter. I always think of how my daughter will one day be a man's wife and I pray a good Christian one at that. I pray often for and with her for that.

Ooh, I'd love it if my hubby and I did the bible studies together. You are very lucky. I'm trying not to press my hubby too bad, although, I know he'd do it with me, I want him to be sincere about it. I'm reading through a Purpose Filled Life and will TRY to work in a time for us to do some bible studying together. It's either that are we're going to HAVE to get up earlier and go to bible study together (kinda hard with a newborn to get there early enough).

Well today I actually hit it pretty hard.

*I vacuumed and it has been a century since I was able to do that last.
*vacuumed the bathroom floor (gets those hairs up better)

*swept the kitchen floor
*ran the dishwasher
*hand washed some tupperware, bowls, and bottles
*cleaned the bathroom up
*cleaned the bedrooms and picked up my oldest daughter's (needs a vacuum)
*arranged the homeschool lesson books and work sheets for tomorrow
*finally arranged a ton of homeschool books we were given
*picked up an iron and a box that's been sitting in the kitchen for ages
*washed two loads of clothes
*threw a couple of pizzas in the oven and made hubby a sandwich
*went to the store with my oldest for a block of cheese lol
*rented a movie of her choice (Home On The Range and it was horrible but enjoyed the time with her)
*came back home and then went to her room for us to have 1 on 1 time while hubby watched after Hailey.
*Bathed Hannah and dressed her for bed. She's in her room rewatching the movie.

I am pretty pooped out but ya know I feel great at the same time. My house is clean (been staying pretty clean but the carpet was in need of a vacuum)

I managed to get so much done because I went down to the basement and got the baby walker. A 10 week old child loooves being in it. She is too grown for her britches I tell you. All I have to do is put a towel in front of her in case that noggin decides to fall over. She eats on the towel lol.

I'm feeling sooo blessed and on fire for the Lord!! I could just move into church lol. I'm just about on the verge of giving up tv all together lol. That movie was all the tv I've seen today.

Tomorrow, I desperately need to mop that kitchen floor and wipe down the walls/doors through the hall. I need to work laundry as well. I'll probably do a bit of laundry folding tonight. I'll have to see how Hailey does, she's asleep across my lap now and just got through nursing.

Am I over the top, or do you feel you're not only honoring God in keeping your house, but also your husband? To me it shows that my hubby is the head of the household.

I've know of a couple in deep marital problems because a sahm wouldn't keep house. I feel very happy when my hubby compliments me and says he's happy that I take care of our children and home the way I do.

You definitely right to NOT be envious. Although I love our home and it's a blessing, I see it as just another biiig bill that at times we struggle to pay. We didn't consult with the Lord before purchasing ours (very backslidden at that time) and although I know he has/will make a way for us, he's now showing me that he should be in control of ALL things, including financial decisions.

Know that Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Just think of your life now as a stepping stone to greater things to come. I'm not saying you'll be rich beyond measure, but I do believe the Lord wants us to have those necessities in life.

Don't let it sadden you (I know that's hard). I believe situations like this are to prove your faith in Him.

God's blessings to you my sister in Christ

Whoot I've got the cleaning bug. Maybe getting out and starting my "job" of cleaning my inlaws home once a week has my motor reveved up. Actually I'm more sure it's the asking/begging I did to the Lord to give me the strength and energy to do my job and then take care of this home. I also spent some time in revelations and read a booklet called Keys To Happiness and I feel so refreshed. Praise be to the Lord God Almighty!! Thank you.

I worked for 2 hrs there yesterday evening cleaning. Then had to come home and cook. Dinner wasn't ready until 9pm. Hubby had intended to grab some fast food, but the system for the debit card was down and we couldn't get any money out of the ATM (it's working today).

Anywho this is what I've done so far
Made the bed
Picked up the bedroom
Cleaned the living room (needs vacuuming)
Ran the dishwasher
Handwashed a sink full of stuff that can go in the dishwasher
Swept the kitchen
Mopped the kitchen...YAAAAY FINALLY
Emptied all the trash cans
Cleaned the bathroom
Mopped the bathroom

Sooo, with the except of (you know it already) vacuuming the living room and doing some laundry work http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001 , the house looks great.

My oldest's room, well it's still horrible, but she's cleaning that thing. I cleaned it the last time and she tore it to bits. She respects the cleanliness more when she has to do it.

So my house is now clean for the weekend. Yay!! We stay gone most of the weekend and if it's dirty on Friday, it's gonna be dirty all weekend.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Sarah and I'm a SAHM to Katheryn who is 2.5. I'm very lazy when it comes to housework but I have slowly been getting better at it - it always feels like an uphill struggle cos of where we live - but lately I have been giving myself daily goals which has helped me greatly in`keeping the housework from piling up on me too much. My days are also filled with "homeschooling", well as much as you can homeschool a 2.5 year old. My daughter loves to learn so I always try to set asside some time each day to do educational things with her. We also have a small trucking business so I deal with the paperwork that goes along with that.

Hello,

My name is Sheila, I am a SAHM of 3 kids. Boy (8), girl (5), and another boy (4). The two oldest are in school and the youngest I homeschool.

I am married to a great Christian guy, 9 years now. He is a meatcutter...I am a 'retired' EMT. I did that for 10 years total...let my cert go so I can be home with the kids. I will also eventually care for my mother in law who is deaf and blind.

I look forward on getting to know some people on here. God Bless.

 I would like to join...I am a SAHM of two boys. I also homeschool the boys. I seen it mentioned earlier about unschooling...guess that is what we do. I'm not good with keeping schedules and a lazy housekeeper. I have been a SAHM for quite a few years.

I totally appreciate the encouragement labellady. It's definitely been rough going for us. We're on our third week now. Things just went wacko around here.

House is harder to keep clean. Finally just got back on track with homeschooling my 4 year old (was thankful she's not officially in school) or else I would've been at my wit's end making such a transition and trying to school her too. She drove me bonkers asking for her lessons too. Guess that's a good thing.

A lady at church gave me a swing in exchange for a walker I have and it has been a heaven sent item for my 4 month old. Finally have something she'll stay in and even fall asleep in while I do something around the house.

Getting my oldest in bed early has been great too.

To be honest, my poor body is still pretty ran down and I haven't gotten my get up and go back yet lol. Had a bug or two last week that had me sick and plus had a tooth yanked out Tuesday.

I'm off to grab some bible/prayer time while number 2 (what hubby and I called the baby since she's the second one) is knocked out in her swing.

God bless you ladies and I hope you're having an easier time around the house than I am here. I plan to update the club's first page soon. I got some new free stuff in the mail and will post a new bible verse to encourage us all.

It has been a while since anyone has posted, so I was curious if ya'll are okay?

It has been busy here, homeschooling and keeping house. It seems as I get one thing done something else comes up. I can't seem to keep up with the laundry. If you miss one day it attacks you! Have a great day and God bless!
