Ive never heard that song before, are you referring to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and rose from the dead?

I cant tell, his name is no where in that song.

Yep. Dr. Schaeffer used to explain why the Hallelujah chorus is right after the resurrection. It is not at the end of the 3rd movement about the future individual resurrection and the eternal worship of the Lamb. Reformation thinking! The lyrics of the Hallelujah chorus are from Rev 16, but Handel placed this song right after the resurrection of Christ.

First of all, This world is not under the power of the "price of darkness" for he is powerless. This world is under the power of Jesus Christ. Satan does NOT rule the earth today, Jesus Christ does. Satan has absolutely no power today to keep ANYONE from salvation.

His head has been crushed. He is a defeated foe.

Satan was bound/judged/cast out by Christ's ministry, reversing satan's dominion over the People of God, granting power over all darkness to the saints, and immediately enabling the gospel to spread to all nations.
(John 12:31 and Matt 12:28-29, Heb 2:14-15 and 1 John 3:8).

Jesus Christ is CURRENTLY the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. ALL power and dominion are His. There is nothing that is not already under his rule.

And this transference of Rule, reign and power was bestowed upon Jesus AT the ascension:

Satan doesnt force you to do anything, if you give in, thats on you, God will judge you for your sins.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Satan has plenty of power over his followers, if you are in Christ, satan tends to not bother with us as much.

Satan is not powerless! Many make that mistake...because of how Satan is bound...which is through the power of the gospel to save.

Satan is just as Peter says in 1 Peter 5:8:
8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

When we as believers fail to "walk in the Spirit", we give Satan opportunity to cause us to stumble and hurt our testimony before the world.

Satan has been cast out of heaven since Jesus was raised because with our Lord sacrificing Himself for our sins, because he can no longer accuse us before God!
