Is it ok if BillH likes the Monkees?

My question to you is, is it ok if I like the Monkees?

I remember asking the same question myself in 1980 when I was in high school. Even then they were considered to be seriously uncool. But that never bothered me. I really loved them, their music and the TV programme.
