Probably because it is a Republic of Russia, which is part of Europe, Chechnya is thus considered European.

The Eastern boundary of Europe is the Ural mountains.

I believe Chechnya is West of the Ural mountains.

Hmm, I don't see anything new here. If you go to Constantinple practically every mosque is a copy of Hagia Sophia. In fact the Blue Mosque is supposed to be a 1/3 replica of it, although if you go inside you immediatelly realize that they failed.

I have no problem with it. At least some element of their architecture points to the right direction... And it is always possible to point to the original to those who find the mosque beautiful and say, the original was built in the 6th century!

Why? Simply because the infidels have imitated our architechture doesn't mean that we should weep. Rather, let us be thankful to God that these infidels attempt to worship Him within our "walls", for there they may find the Truth.

In all things let us praise the Lord who gives and takes away! Many Churches in Holy Spain were destroyed by the Moors, but we have rebuilt them to the Glory of the Lord God, who gives and takes away.

I think it was someone else on this forum who said that you don't see counterfeit brown paper bags... Meaning, people only copy what has value. Muslims copy Orthodox Christian architecture because they see value in it.
