Nothing wrong with liking/admiring people who inspire you.
Making them an idol is wrong since you are putting them
on an equal or even a high level than Christ.

I want "our" children & grandchildren to follow or be like someone--
Christ. Not some worldly media hyped man or woman who
has no respect for the Lord.

My mom and grandmother inspire me but I don't idolize either of them.
Both of these are/were women of faith who devoted much time
pointing us to the Lord.

I do admire many people.
I am a big fan of Tupac,eminem,christopher nolan etc.But I don't idolize them.
But I would praise the lord for giving such an excellent knowledge and wisdom to human beings.Since everything comes from the Lord,So I give praises to the Lord.

Especially when I watch christopher nolan movies,I always praise the lord for the hard working attitude that nolan got and praise the lord for giving that to nolan.

so admire people,admire their attitudes and let god be the reason for it,if not god who might have given that to him ?
