Hundreds Of Ill. Kids Possibly Exposed To TB - Health News Story - WHIO Dayton

CHICAGO -- Officials said hundreds of children and staff at three Chicago-area hospitals may have been exposed to tuberculosis by a contagious health care worker.
The Chicago Tribune reports on its Web site that the health care worker was a 26-year-old female resident in Northwestern's training program who had rotated through the three hospitals.

Anyone coughing might have TB. Everyone coughing has germs. But just breathing air that was exhaled(cough or not) can have TB in it.
I think they mean that hundreds of children and adults might have been exposed, because not only kids are at the hospital. Parents and friends visit the kids.
One person with TB can spread it to anyone near them when they expel the TB laced particles.
