I am relieved his holiness is okay. Roger Cardinal Etchegaray, the vice dean of the College of Cardinals (who's several years older than Pope Benedict) was injured and taken to the hospital.

Pray for them and the woman who did this.

Kidding. Lord have mercy on her. I'm relieved he is okay. I feel more sorry for her. How sad to feel that much resentment, especially on such a wonderful day.

I read on CNN that Cardinal Etchegaray has a broken femur. At his age, 87, a broken leg will take a while to heal properly I assume.

The woman is the same woman who unsucessfully tried to attack him last year.
