I'm a 56-year-old, married, Christian (non-denominational) man living in central Florida. I was raised Catholic. About six years ago I began to read the Bible in detail and listened to sermons from Christian teachers such as Pastor John MacArthur. It was then that I decided I was no longer a Catholic.
I am motivated to participate here for several reasons. One, I want to continue to grow closer to God the father in Heaven. Two, I would like to help others to do the same. Third, unless prohibited, I want to discuss in detail some of the teachings of the Catholic Church (RCC) in order to better understand how their theology is missing from scripture or contradicts scripture. And, just for the record, I have no hard feelings or bitterness against the RCC or any of its members. I have family and friends who are Catholic and I adore them and I know that they are saved by Christ. I just believe that their doctrine is mistaken.
I look forward to learning and sharing with the other members here.
P.S. Is there a way to turn off the snow effect?
