Hardcore has been around... since like, 99 I guess.

Post Hardcore is like post rock, only applied to hardcore.

hardcore has been around since the early 80s with bands like Black Flag. Minor Threat, outh of Today, The Dead Kenendys leadign the way. Hardcore as you/we know it now came out of "emotional hardcore" started in the late 80s with Rites of Spring and Fugazi who ahd the term "emo" thrown onto them like stink onto a wet dog.

actually black flag wasent really hardcore til Henry Rollins joined....but you forgot AGNOSTIC FRONT they started playing true hardcore back in 1982

emocore, screamo, emotional hardcore, is just singing with screaming, -beloved, thrice, new underoath and many others

I think Haste The Day is a good one. But to go to the extreme with them get their album Burning Bridges ("Substance" is a hard song of theirs).
