Only one question. How long do you think it will take the Bush propaganda machine to villifiy Hagel? Do you think they will question his mental stability like they did McCain? Or will they simply paint him as an enemy of the the state?

If you hear in the media that a GOP member is bashing Bush, it is Chuck Hagel. Nothing new I am about as surprised to hear Hagel disagrees with his party as I was when Zel Miller disagreed with the Democrats.

It could be. But people are waking up, and the voices are growing louder and more numerous. They can shut a few people up, but when the masses rise up against this beast, there will be no stopping the voices of dissent.

There's a big difference here. Miller had a higher conservative rating than some of the Republicans in the Senate. Hagel is a Republican who has a higher conservative rating than many Republicans too.
I checked them both out at www.acuratings.com

By their American Conservative Union ratings, I think most people will agree that Zell Miller is a "Democrat in name only", but Hagel does not qualify as a "Republican in name only" with his score.

I get the feeling that there is not enough support for the war out there to effectivly silence the critics by vilifacation. I could be premature but I think its time for the reasonable disscusion of the issues to begin in the US.
