Grace As An Occasion To Sin vs Giving In To Sin

Knowing everytime we sin it is done willfully, where is the line between knowing if we sin from our weakness versus if we are really, in our hearts, using God's grace as an occasion to sin? (Keeping in mind that we know that we can confess and repent afterwards). Remembering that our hearts are wicked and deceptive.

Do we ever think about our motives before pushing the sin button?

Because you question, you are likely not abusing His grace. It is a common tactic of Satan to accuse brethren of such abuse. Remember he is a liar.

I've been told Christians are to follow promptings of the Holy Spirit. Gaffing off the Holy Spirit is probably a bad idea but then again I don't know everything.

If you always have the inclination to go on sinning and "using God's grace as an occasion to sin" I doubt that you are a true believer.

Living for Christ is more about being the right thing than doing the right thing.
