Gordon College backlash sparks discrimination accusations against gay advocates - Washington Times

Just came across this and thought it was interesting enough to post. I've never even heard of this college or the controversy surrounding it until today. However, if what the article says is true, then there is a real violation of rights going on against the college and its students.

The Washington Times is a shady rag and a laughingstock in journalistic circles, and I don't mean just the liberal circles.

Please note Lynn cut ties with Gordon College not because anyone's Christian but because the college has opposed federal hiring protections for gays and lesbians.

Gordon College can decide not to hire the LGBT, but they cannot expect to be free of consequences. Perhaps Lynn thought it was a bad idea to hitch that wagon to their horse.

I am making no equivalency here, but if Lynn decided to cut ties with a college that supported racism or sexism, they'd be well within their rights to do that too.

Perhaps Lynn and Gordon College will be able to patch things up, but no one appears to have denied volunteers positions because they happened to be Christians.
