Ah yes, the 1900s. I remember them well. lol
That kid makes me feel like I'm in my 140s rather than my 40s.

This is nineteen hundreds music:

While she's correct in a sense, the nineteen hundreds were followed by the nineteen tens, the nineteen twenties, the nineteen thirties etc. If she said late 20th century, nobody would bat an eye. However, calling the late 20th century the 1900s sounds wrong because that's how we refer to the years 1900 - 1909.

I'm even reluctant to call the 1890s the eighteen hundreds, because to my mind that is 1800 - 1809. Language is interesting.
