game maker and making games

Anyone in here make games? Any gamemaker users. We own Game Maker. It is so cool. You should go check them out online. It is really easy to use. You can make platformers, role playing, or all kinds of stuff. We downloaded the free version which you could do tons of stuff with, but then we paid the 15 dollars to unlock the full version. It is up to 18 now, I believe.

If I were to make a game I'd go about writing it all myself (or with the help of others on a team ;o)

I could very well write the internal aspects of a game in terms of calculations and storing information, however I barely have any experience on anything visual related to games. GUIs == easy, games == evil.
