Are we seeing a trend at the local, State and Federal levels of our Government?
Since here in the U.S. the upper controlling echelon of our society has transferred nearly all of the manufacturing sector to Communist Red China, we no longer have much to trade to other countries, thus no $ for taxes to keep the country afloat. What is left is given TIF status, so the consumers are left to pick up that tab as well.
Government, at all levels, appear to have started to turn the dogs loose (Law and Tax enforcement) on the general public in order to keep at least a workable amount of money in the coffers.
I wonder if anyone had ever thought that if the U.S. had ever gone Totalitarian, that it would have started because of the lack of money.
