Well, after Cherokee has Posted 9 times (while consistently missing the point), I am a bit lost.

There are several "V" names in the Bible (contrary to what she said).

And, she ain't too Hot on "W"s either.

(the 3) Wise men.

And, for ahmunmun, I suggest that she write her name inside of her Bible, then she can use her name.

Okay, I'll prove to you!! NO "w's in names in the bible.
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/hitchcock/bible_names.w.html

and...I was wrong about the V's...there's only 5 names beginning with V in the bible.. ;)
But I took Hebrew when I was in Israel...so I know what I'm talking about about Hebrew letters, etc.

Okay...I'm skipping to "X"...
Xerxes!! He is also Ahasuerus! The Persian king, Esther's husband.
Are we happy now? Now...on to "Y"!

Hey - that's not fair!! You've been posting all my answers while I've been in bed! :sigh: :D

I thought we are giving personal names of people in the bible.

We are. And just to be pedantic, wise men is our title for them; Matthew just says they were Magi.
I suppose you could cheat and have woman at the well.

The OP set-up the Rule: "This game uses only names (person or place) from the Bible."

Strong said (incorrectly, I think) that any names were supposed to be personal names.
She responded to Cherokee, who claimed that was the Rule here.

I call on the OP to clarify his Rule.
And, which Version are we able to use? King James? NIV?

And, anyway, we have full use of place names.

So, where are we NOW?

Y . . . I think.
To get things back-on-Track, I give yokefellow.

Strong also incorrectly identified the "Magi."

I don't know what Version of the Bible you are using, but the King James Version never uses the term "Magi."
Matthew 2:1 says: "behold, there came wise men from the east."
And, Verse 7 uses only wise men.
And Verse 16 uses wise men too.

Sorry - the NIV says Magi and I didn't check any other versions as I was just about to go to church. I'll steer clear of theology and just play the game. :sorry:
