Ephesians 5:1-2
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

What kind of fragrance do you leave behind? What fragrance does Jesus leave?

There is a fragrance made from a special blend you can choose to use each day. Take a bit of love and blend it in mercy and grace. Make sure you filter out your pride. Be sure to carry this sweet scent with you wherever you go. Throughout your day offer your kind words and smiles to others. Bite your tongue and hold your judgment. Let these scents rise up to the Lord as incense – a fragrant offering.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

You can't light a candle to show others the way,
without feeling the warmth of that bright little ray;

and you can't give a rose, all fragrant with dew,
without some of its sweetness remaining with you.

John 12:3
Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

Look at this fragrant offering given to Jesus. The fragrance was poured on to Jesus -- it also 'filled' the whole house and surely remained on Mary's hair. A sweet scent to all who were present at it's offering.

Thank You Lord for the fragrant offering of the Lord Jesus Christ. Enable each of us by the power of Your Holy Spirit to spread this fragrant offering everywhere we go. Let us each leave behind a scent pleasing to You, O Lord. Thank You that as we each try to do this we will become more Christ like.
